Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics celebrates World Cruising Club partnership with exclusive Southampton Boat Show gathering

Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics is looking forward to welcoming World Cruising Club members to the Southampton International Boat Show this September as it celebrates the continuation of its partnership with the world’s leading organiser of offshore sailing rallies.

On Saturday 19 September 2026, the team will host a special World Cruising Club gathering on the Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics stand (H4) from 16:00. World Cruising Club members are invited to join the team for an informal afternoon of sailing conversation, expert advice and a complimentary Dark ‘n’ Stormy cocktail, made possible through the Ancasta Group’s partnership with Goslings Rum.

The event is a chance for World Cruising Club members to meet the Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics team, discuss upcoming cruising plans and benefit from specialist advice on preparing yachts for offshore passages, whether that’s an ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers), World ARC or another bluewater adventure.

Supporting the World Cruising Club community

As a trusted offshore rigging specialist, Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics works closely with World Cruising Club to support ARC and World ARC participants, as well as the wider bluewater sailing community. From rig inspections and standing rigging replacements to complete offshore preparation, the team helps sailors ensure their yachts are ready for the demands of long-distance cruising.

Neil Brinsdon, Managing Director of Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics, says: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with World Cruising Club and to support its members as they prepare for their sailing adventures.

“Offshore sailing places significantly greater demands on a yacht’s rig than coastal cruising, and having the right advice, preparation and maintenance programme in place is essential. Our Southampton Boat Show event is a great opportunity to meet members face-to-face, answer their questions and share our experience of helping sailors prepare their yachts for safe and successful voyages.”

Paul Tetlow, Managing Director of World Cruising Club, added: “Working with Advanced Rigging & Hydraulics reflects World Cruising Club’s commitment to supporting our rally participants with access to world-class technical expertise and practical advice.

Preparing a yacht for offshore sailing requires careful planning, and the specialist knowledge offered by Neil and his team helps sailors make informed decisions to enhance safety, reliability and performance.

“The event at the Southampton Boat Show is perfectly timed to follow our Cruisers’ Question Time session earlier that day in Ocean Village, providing an ideal opportunity for members to continue the conversation and discuss the practical considerations of preparing for offshore adventures in a relaxed and informal setting.”
